Cool tip Markus - thanks. I may try it out - I'm still using Pine for Email :-) Perhaps I'll step into the 21st Century and use a GUI based Mail client one of these days!

If you like Kontact/KMail, check out http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/KDE4:/UNSTABLE:/KDEPIM4.1onKDE4.0/
It's a repository that allows you to install Kontact/KMail from KDE 4.1 on KDE 4.0.
While there are a few glitches, I found it to work better than the KDE 3 version -- at least KMail (I don't use the other components). E.g. this version of KMail no longer crashes when marking more than one mail as spam.

Hey thats a great idea. I happen to have the 10.3 DVD as well though I use Arch Linux. Could you tell me which KDE3 apps do you use?

BTW I like your coverage of Linux and I'm subscribing to your feed and adding you to my blogroll (my own blog hasn't been updated but I'll get it back up soon).
